In business world of today, the rivalry fact in tourism has reached the summit level. Rivalry that we face in\nevery sector causes both establishments and wage earners to act away from moral values. In consideration of that\ntourism is an effort-dense sector and especially border-unit worker give service one by one and face to face, it is\nunderstood that how significant it is that wage earners must act ethically. The first reason of this study is to measure\nthe perceptions towards business ethics of the students who work as full time wage earners in summer season\nin tourism industry. To obtain research data questionnaire technique was used and in the evaluation of the data.\nActs towards Business Ethics Questionnaire (ATBEQ) was used that was developed by Neumann and Reichel\n(1979). All the data of the research was obtained from the students at faculties, collages and vocational school of\nBal?kesir University. This article is the outcome of an empirical study of technical training of women and men\nthrough Farmer Field Schools in rural Nepal during the last decade. When the Farmer Field\nSchools started in Nepal as part of the FAO Integrated Pest Management project in 1997, this\nwas also the year that the Maoists declared the People�s Revolution. The article describes the\nincreased participation of women in FFS and its positive effect on food security of their\nfamilies. After initial failure of FFS to include gender in its policy and activities, the article\ndiscusses the gradual acceptance of gender issues in the training. Empowerment is seen as a\ndevelopmental process rather than as a product somebody or a group can gain access to or\nown. Different forms and objectives of empowerment of both women and men are discussed,\nand the unintended outcomes of FFS intervention in the context of rapid social-economic and\npolitical change during the Maoist revolution in Nepal....
The purpose of this research is to explore the impact of rewards and leadership on the employee engagement in\nconventional banking sector of southern Punjab. Employee engagement is fully influenced by leadership, workplace\nculture, company reputation and reward practices. Satisfied workers have potential to work effectively and they\nalways remain loyal to the organization. This research focuses to evaluate the impact of two covariates reward and\nleadership on the engagement of the employees. The data includes 50 employees of 5 banks selected from conventional\nbanking sector located in southern Punjab. The results indicate positive impact of reward and leadership\non employee engagement. This study explores the influence of decision making in organizational leadership and management activities that impact creativity, growth and effectiveness, success, and goal accomplishments in current organizations. The purpose of this qualitative critical ethnographic study was focused on identifying the factors influencing success in decision making among organizational leaders and managers in organizations� practices. The qualitative paradigm was used in order to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the issues and challenges influencing effectiveness, and success among organizational leadership and managements in business practices. The author being committed and determined to discovering a pattern of meaning through experience, systemic thinking, assessment, and creative analysis used the Kurt Lewin leadership philosophical underpinning approaches of leadership namely: autocratic, democratic, and laissez faire methods of leadership decision making processes in the context of this study, with the aim of discovering the main factors rather than specific variables and outcomes affecting decision making among business leaders. Approximately, four hundred past and current business executives and managements participated in this study. Data was collected through structured interviews and surveys. The results that emerged from the data indicated that there is a great need for change and improvement in decision making among organizational executives while accommodating technology, diversity, globalization, policy, teamwork, and leadership effectiveness....
The aim of this study was to identify the mediating effect of employee engagement in the relationship between its antecedents and consequences (i.e. job satisfaction). A random sample comprising 250 subjects from academic institutions in Jordan was used to collect the required data. Of the250 questionnaires distributed, 238 were returned and considered valid for analysis. The findings showed that all mediation conditions were verified. That is, employee engagement mediated the relationship between employee communication, clear career growth opportunities, employees� pride in their organization, managers� trust and integrity, rewards and recognition, feedback and mentoring, work motivation, psychological empowerment, internal corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices, organizational and supervision support and organizational justice, as well as organizational culture and job satisfaction.
